Leo was the son of my grandfather's brother. Because my mother Catherine Iesley Farley also had a home on LBI, I would see Uncle Leo almost every Summer since I was child. When I remember him I will always see that beautiful smile that he wore all the time. My siblings and I were awed by Uncle Leo because of his service as a police officer. May peace and comfort come soon to his family at this sad time.

I will never forget the great rides in Uncle Leo's red vette, always one for adventure and travel. The best family parties were at his house in his basement, and I was always fascinated by his matchbook collection of all the places he had traveled. He had the best basement bar and pinball machine and skee ball table all his nieces spent countless hours playing. I will always miss his laugh, and his never ending stories!

The Grandinetti family
Leo Farley played an important role in the life of the Grandinetti family. He was a dedicated and caring basketball coach to the three sons, Mike, Steve and Chris and he served as a role model to them as students and young men growing up in the Catholic faith. A devoted Catholic, he was a family friend to our parents Frank and Maryanne at Our Lady of Victory Parish while we grew up. As a police officer in town, his presence in the community was always one of mentor and guide and father figure to those of us who knew him. He was always there to serve and protect in a very dedicated and fair manner. He was a good man. Our condolences to his family.

Leo was a man who embraced life as a great adventure and faced it with his one-of-a kind sense of humor and enthusiasm. He befriended everyone turning them into friends and followers with his unique ability to spin a tale or tell a story. For us that Irish twinkle in his eye, genuine laughter and bit of mischief made him a treasure -- he is a beloved bother-in-law and favorite Uncle to our daughter, Kathryn. You knew with Leo a good time would be had and a new memory would be made even if you were just "taking a ride". We will always and forever hear his cheerful greeting, see his welcoming smile and remember his stories. Rest in peace dear Leo...
