I am saddened to hear that Leo Farley has passed away. While I believe he is in a better place, at peace and free of suffering and pain, I will miss him at the Rutgers tailgates. I first met Leo at a Rutgers football game many years ago, and since then he has been an indispensable member of our home game tailgates. He even has an oven, “The Leo,” named for him because of his distinguished status, and also the fact that he donated the money for the purchase. Leo wore big a smile at every game even when we knew he was not feeling his best. It was a pleasure to talk to Leo; he always had an interesting story to share. Whenever a fellow police officer, current or former, would attend our tailgate, Leo would light up. He was very proud of his service to Sayreville as a police officer and his stories were of particular interest when he spoke of his former service. My deepest sympathy is with Joanne and Fred. I will certainly miss your Dad. We all will miss him. William Skowronski
