Obituary for Sergio Dubowski
South River
Sergio Dubowski age 93 of South River passed away Monday March 30, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick with his loving and devoted wife at his side. Born in Batavia, Poland he resided in Argentina for 10 years before immigrating to South River in 1958. Before his retirement he was employed by Algro Knitting Mills in Milltown for 15 years as a machine operator. Mr. Dubowski was a World War II veteran of the Polish Army and was an accomplished Accordion player who also repaired and refurbished Accordions. He was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church in South River.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years Lidia Demidenko Dubowski and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River followed by a 10am service at Saints Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church in South River with burial to follow at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, South River.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Panahida services with choir will be held Wednesday 3:30pm at the funeral home. Letters of condolence, directions and completed arrangements can be found at www.maliszewskifuneralhome.com
