Obituary for James A Floystrop Jr.

James A. Floystrop, Jr. formerly of Middlesex County, NJ passed away peacefully at the age of 72 in his home after a lengthy illness on the evening of June 19, 2016.

Born on April 21, 1944 in South Amboy, NJ, he was the son of the late James A., Sr. and Clara (Ciejak) Floystrop. He was born and raised in Sayreville and was a graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School. James moved to South River in 1965 to start his own family after getting married. He worked as a Maintenance Machinist at DuPont in Parlin where he retired from and eventually moved out of state.

He is predeceased by his devoted wife of over 52 years, Frances E. Floystrop. A beloved father, James is survived by a son, James A. III and his wife Cheryl of Bridgewater; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Borne and her husband Robert of IN; four grandchildren: Brianna, Brad, & Tyler, and Crystal Wyatt and her husband James; two great grandchildren, Madison and Aiden Wyatt; two brothers: Donald and his wife Sonya of Sicklerville, and Thomas and his wife Amelia of Spotswood; and one sister, Mary Halmo and her husband Rudolph of VA, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

James spent his early retirement with his beloved wife Frances, where they enjoyed the outdoors, taking photographs, and spending time together with family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 26 from 12-3 PM at Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James’ name to help cure COPD at www.copdfoundation.org.
