Jesse Flynn, age 22, died Saturday, May 29, 2016, of a heroin overdose. I would not call it a sudden death because we watched him suffer for years from the disease of addiction. But through it all he was kind, funny and hard working. We were never embarrassed by his addiction we were nothing less than proud of his fight and in awe of his determination to recover.

Jesse graduated from South Amboy Middle/High School in 2012. He worked as an installer for the family business, Petra Overhead Door Co. and resided in Parlin.

He leaves behind his beautiful eight month old daughter, Charlee Quinn, and Riley Aiden the two year old he planned to adopt and whom called him, Daddy. He leaves behind his mother, Linda, his father, Gene and his brother, Neil as well as a huge extended family who loved him deeply.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 8pm from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin followed by a private cremation

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to the family while a trust is established for the young children.
