Obituary for Thomas G Higgins
Thomas G. Higgins, age 85 of Old Bridge, passed away Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Freehold, he had lived in Old Bridge for the past 54 years. Before his retirement, Thomas worked for Local 9 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters as a fitter for many years. Tom was an avid sportsman who played Minor League Baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies as well as in a bowling league.
Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, the former Joan Servon, his children Joanne Keir, Thomas and Veronica Higgins, Terri Atkins, Robin and John Maresco, his brother Bill Higgins, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial funeral mass will take place Saturday 9am at St. Mary of Ostrabrama RC Church in South River. A private cremation was held under the direction of the Maliszewski Memorial Home 218 Whitehead Ave South River, NJ.
