My Beautiful Mother

Some of the memories that I will share with you again as I have while sitting by yourside until you left to go to your Heavenly Home.

Ok I was a little girl (Dennis The Menance) being the second child ten years apart from my brother Chester, I gave you and Dad a run for your money.  Climbing the roof of a house not being able to get down, cutting slits in a skirt with pleats etc.  Also because I did not like meat or milk as child you made special vegtable dinners for me.  Although I did like meatballs and noodles you made a comment you thought that the hospital gave you the wrong baby because i liked a lot of food with sauce that perhaps I was iItilian.LOL. You were My Mother and Best Friend in many ways you took care of your Third Grandchild Amanda so as I would be able to work without placing her in a Day Care Center so you were not only her Grandmother but in essence a Second Mother to her. I will always remember the vactions down seaside with your Sisters Jean and Helen and my cousins they were GREAT.  But most of all the vacations taken later on in life asa grown women along with my Daughter Amanda going to Cape May, and then mini vactions with my husband Richard, and Amanda to Maine and Vermont.

These past Five and Half years while you lived in the Veterans Home will be always and forever in my Heart.  I went to see you every week enjoyed doing your clothes shopping and in general I so enjoyed the time with you.  My firsts are going to hurt me the most when I no longer need to get in car to make the trip to the home, and then not going  anymore to shop for clothes.

When i received the call this past Thursday saying you did not look good I drove direct to you and never left your side holding your hand until the very end when you left on Saturday Morining at 1:00AM to go to your Heavenly Home I let go of your hand to take a walk to get coffee when coming back you were  gone.

I walked with you with a American Flag drapped over what you were palced in leaving the Veterans Home the way you came there thru the front door. The first of the three walks beside you.

They loved you in the Nursing Home always calling you Miss Jennie always a Lady.

Love You Mom Forever In My Heart

Stephanie
