Paul  Karbowski Jr.
Paul Karbowski Jr., age 66 of Sayreville passed away Wednesday, January 13th 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in South Amboy he was a lifelong Sayreville resident. Paul was a US Air Force Veteran from 1968 to 1972 during which he served a 1 year term as a Sergeant in the Vietnam War. Before his retirement he was employed as a mechanic by the Middlesex County Utilities Authority for 18 years and formerly was the owner and operator of Crash Landing Auto Body/C & L Auto Sales in Sayreville for many years. He had also previously worked at DuPont in the F & F Division. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville and a member of the Sayreville VFW and the Sayreville Seniors. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, attending car shows with his friends and refurbishing computers. His genuine desire to help others in need will be greatly missed. When auto or computer challenges arose, he always had shown great perseverance in assisting in their resolution.

He is predeceased by his parents Paul L. Karbowski Sr. and Helen Ostrowski Karbowski. Surviving are his loving wife of 38 years, the former Sandra Pavlonnis, his sister and her husband Christine and Joseph Pitonak of Sayreville, his nephew Joseph Pitonak Jr of Sayreville, his niece and her husband Andra and Dan Buhler of Morgan and his sister and brother in law Christine and Sam Weir of FL.

Funeral services will be held 9:30am Monday from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St. Sayreville with a 10am Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
