Florence M. Krainski age 91 years, of Sayreville passed away Thursday May 7, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, she has resided in Sayreville for the past 75 years. Before her retirement 20 years ago she was the co-owner with her husband Lawrence, of Krainski’s Tavern in Sayreville for 50 years. Mrs. Krainski was a communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville, a member of Sayreville K of C 2061 Columbette’s and Sayreville Saint Stan’s Seniors.

She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence Krainski in 1977, her daughter in law Betty Krainski in 2007, her parents Joseph & Marie Sokolowski and her brother Steven Sokolowski. Surviving are her son Larry “Butch” Krainski, her daughter Susan Wilbert-Krainski both of Sayreville, her grandchildren and their spouses Ann Marie & Steven Glover, Lawrence Krainski III Terri Luzetsky, Lisa & Todd Mayer, and Thomas & Jamie Wilbert, her siblings and their spouses Joseph & Arlene Sokolowski of East Brunswick, Edward & Joan Sokolowski of South River, Martha Krainski of Allentown, and Irene Solnolowski of South River and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville, followed by a 9am Mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. The following groups will hold services Sunday at the funeral home: Sayreville St Stan’s Senior’s 2:15pm, O.L.V. Columbette’s 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Florence’s memory be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
