Obituary for Lorraine Osowski

Parlin
Lorraine M. Grossweiler Osowski, age 93 of Parlin passed away Thursday February 19, 2015 at Parker Nursing Home at Landing Lane in New Brunswick. Born in Parlin, she was a life long resident at 18 Cleveland Ave. Before her retirement, Lorraine worked as an elementary school teacher at St. Mary’s School in South River and then as an accountant for Hess Oil Company. She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville.
Lorraine enjoyed playing with, loving and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Upon her retirement, Lorraine and her loving husband Walter traveled extensively throughout the world to Hawaii, Europe and western USA. She served in leadership roles in various communities such as PTA, Scouts, Senior Citizens, school bond issues and church.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Walter in 2004, her cherished granddaughter Kathleen 2002, and her brothers Phillip, Joseph, Richard, Vernon, and Harold Grossweiler.
Surviving are her sons Michael and his wife Molly of Lancaster OH, Jeffrey and his wife Theresa of Bethlehem Twp. NJ, her grandchildren Michael and his wife Lillian of Houston TX, Amie Grillo and her husband Dominic of Whitehouse Station NJ, Kenneth and his wife Nora of Stewatstown PA, and her great grandchildren Connor, Walter and Dylan Osowski, Angela and Giordana Grillo, and Aaron Hunt and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Parker Nursing Home at Landing Lane in New Brunswick for taking such loving care of Lorraine. She truly felt you were her extended family.
Funeral services will be Monday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, with a 9:30am funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Organic Acidemia Association 13210 35th Avenue North, Plymouth MN 55441.
