Obituary for Casimir Kuczynski

Casimir  Kuczynski
Casimir Kuczynski, 93, of Sayreville died Thursday January 15, 2015 at Briarwood Care Center with his loving family at his side. He was born in the Melrose section of Sayreville and was a lifelong resident of the Borough of Sayreville. He retired as a machinist from DuPont (Photo) after 35 years of service. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he served as a petty officer on destroyers, taking part in convoy duty in the Atlantic European, North African, and Pacific Campaigns. He was an exempt volunteer fireman with the Melrose Hose Co. Mr. Kuczynski was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Parish and the parish’s Holy Name Society; the N.J. Exempt Firemen Association and the Sayreville VFW post 4699.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Bernice Pysno Kuczynski; his children and their spouses Thomas & Barbara Kuczynski and Martin & Theresa Kuczynski, and Jane Cope, all of Sayreville; his grandchildren, Brian, Laura, Greg and Ricky; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Amelia; and numerous nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents; his brothers, John and Chester; and his sisters, Jenny Matula and Mary Widuta.
Funeral services will be held Monday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. The following groups will hold services Sunday at the funeral home: Sayreville VFW post 4699 2:45pm, Sacred Heart Holy Name Society 4pm and Sayreville Exempt Fireman Association 4:30pm.
