So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I knew him from when he was a customer at Apples Aviary and Supply Co., Inc. where I worked from 1986 to 1992. (South River and Old Bridge) I am a show exhibition budgie breeder and I was delighted that he came to our Tri-State Budgerigar Society show in August 2013. He brought a grand daughter and went home with a bird. I had not seen him for many years before that and we talked about his beloved rosellas and other birds. He left and came again to the show and brought back fresh tomatoes and cucumbers for me to use when we were having the food break for our show attendees. I thought that was such a nice gesture and I so enjoyed visiting with him that day. I was hoping he would come this year but he did not. He was always one of my favorite customers at Apples Aviary.
