Robert Burke, age 81, of Sayreville, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Scranton Pennsylvania, he has resided in Sayreville for the past 50 years. Before his retirement in 1989 he was employed by A T & T in Bridgewater for 33 ½ years retiring as manager. Mr. Burke served his country in the Navy Reserve.

He is predeceased by his parents Joseph & Ida Burke. Surviving are his wife of 62 years Gertrude Morio Burke, his children and their spouses Barbara Ann & Kevin Baumann of South Amboy and Robert & Cindy Burke of Sayreville, his grandchildren and their spouses Andrew Hyslop of So Bound Brook and Brian & Elizabeth Hyslop of Sayreville, his great grandchildren Leah & Jonathan Hyslop and his brother William Burke of Williamsville, New York.

Funeral services will be held Friday 9am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victory R. C. Church in Sayreville with entombment to follow at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum, Franklin Township.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
