Kevin James Bloodgood, age 58, of South River, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Old Bridge. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania he has resided in South River all of his life. Kevin proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1975 through 1981. Before his retirement he was a master plumber and co-owner with his father of R.E. Bloodgood & Son in South River.

He is predeceased by his parents Russell & Evelyn Rose Coyle Bloodgood and his sister Mary Lou Molinaro. Surviving are his son Dalton R. Bloodgood of East Brunswick, his sister and her husband Clare Bloodgood-Shields and George Shields of Holliday, Florida, his uncles and aunt George, John and Patricia Coyle all of Sayreville and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours at the M.A. Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River will be held Sunday from 2pm to 6pm
